According to data from the German Federal Grid Agency, during the first seven months of 2024, 9.34 GW of new solar capacity was built. Bavaria led with 2.21 GW added, followed by Baden-Wuerttemberg with 1.27 GW and North Rhine-Westphalia with 1.26 GW, reports Kosovo.Energy.

Of the capacities installed in July, 266.3 MW were without subsidies, which included 100.1 MW of capacities installed on the surface of the land and 166 MW on the roofs of houses. Meanwhile, through subsidies, 400.6 MW of capacities have been added on the ground surface, and 766.8 MW on the roof.

At the same time, new onshore wind power capacity remains at a similar level to last month’s data. In July, 184.6 MW of wind power generation capacities were added, while in June, 186.5 MW, reports Kosovo.Energy.

The total capacity of wind power generation through wind turbines located on the surface of the land across the country was 62.1 GW, with 29,645 turbines in operation.

In the offshore wind sector, 170 MW of generation capacity was added in July, compared to 155 MW in June and 222.3 MW in May.
